This game is just fantastic. You can see how much passion and love went into the development of this game and through out the gameplay I can say for a fact that it really had a huge impact on me. There were times when I forgot I was playing a porn game and I felt so submerged into the story, there were times where I couldn't think of anything but the game because I was so curious about what would happen next and how everything would end. It's hard to find people who liked it as much as I did for being... you know, a porn game, but if the creator reads this I give my thanks and congratulations to them for creating this wonderful game!

Not this again please. NTR is when you willingly want the LI to be stolen from you. This isn't the case, it was a bad ending, period. Sorry for being blunt, but this was already discussed extensively through the thread, was a complete shitstorm.
The game is ended for quite some time as well, I would maybe understand if the game was in development, but it isn't the case. And yes, I also hate NTR, but it doesn't fit the tag for 1 particular bad ending.
All the hard work, and I have to choose just one girl in the end? I demand a harem ending! The one where I'm taking the money and just stay with all the ladies!

The "style" used is from a game/character creator engine called Honey Select
There's actually a lot of games that use it.
Some I'd recommend are Eternum (second game made by the same developer of Once in a Lifetime, using Honey Select 2), Ripples, Pale Carnations, and The Inn off the top of my head. There's a few others but a lot of them aren't as great (but still good) or very early in development
Another "cartoonized" I'd recommend that isn't Honey Select but imo pretty good, is Mist. Its completed, and dev is working on another game.

Oh my friend I have some bad news for you ... potentially ending with another playthrough using a walkthrough.
This is hands down the best porn VN I've ever played, I was actively getting anxious as I could see myself getting to the end and had the simultaneous experience of wanting to close the game so it wouldn't end and race through it to see how it ends.
The humor, the story, the hot as fuck sex scenes, the pregnant harem ending epilogue, just everything (even the way they used the odd eye animations were comedically great). The last time I felt like I actually 'got' the characters in a story the same way was finishing persona 5 Royal. There's actually a feeling of a small emotional hole where the game was and that does not happen often and I seriously want expecting it over a 'porn game'.
Stabby Mike wins best supporting character, but all the characters are written so well, I can't wait to play the next game when it gets to the end of development. If anyone is here at the 'last' page and it's somehow on the fence, don't even wait, grab the game, grab the incest patch, if you want the best ending grab the walkthrough and just play it.

Very great VN, nice story, cute girls, love that I saved Mike, although he was described as bad at first, he was actualy a very good person and perfect best friend for the MC. I made an harem of 6 girls, left the mom out, I can't picture me sleeping my mom even she is a cute lady.
The only 1 point upsetting me was if sold Lauren for a night, she get raped, so rolled back as I would never let that happen to my precious sister. Another thing made me wonder and probably never happens, would Lauren dated Oliver if I hadn't seduced her in the first place.
I'm sure to try Eternum as well, had it a while on eye, but wasn't sure yet, but after playing this one I have a good feeling.

Apparently that choice that ended up with Lauren getting raped unleashed somewhat of a shit storm in the OiaL community back then so Caribdis announced never to do anything like that ever again.
I mean, it was an obviously bad choice, so I don't know why people complained about the obviously bad choice ended up to be a bad choice, but okay.
And yeah, Eternum is a considerable step up from OiaL in pretty much all regards.

It was more than a bad choice, it was extremely obvious, specially taking into account the pacing of the game. I hate NTR and would complain if it wasn't avoidable, this one was. The effort of that scene was mostly to enforce "if you are a good guy you get good things, if you aren't you don't".
